I like the SHG balance within the receiving corps and rushers.

And yes, I've heard some Glenwood faithful saying this is the year.  I've only heard that in 5 of the last 7 years.

If Dan Rourke spent his summer learning a few new plays, maybe Chatham has a chance.  I think the edge is to the Cycs, but that's dependent on our lines putting it all together for four quarters.  We've got the size and skills - with playoffs right around the corner, if its gonna jell, now's the time.

Faster than the Florida Gators?  How did Charleston and Rochester keep up with them?

Don't know what anyone could have against my Titans, Panther...   Are your Panthers still rolling this year?

Unfortunately I will be unable to listen to the game this week, but I'm looking forward to looking Captain's updates on the mobile site.

Should be a good one. Looking forward to see if my Titans can stop (or at least slow down) the Cycs' very good stable of running backs. Also looking forward to see if the McAdams to Helm connection can be half as effective as it has been thus far this year. I just hope that Dan Rourke can put together an offensive game plan that doesn't totally suck :bang:  Also, hoping that Danny Boy can get our boys out on the field on time. :knock:

Hoping for a safe game and that both teams can get out of it ready for the playoffs and without any significant injuries.

GO TITANS!

Nothing personal, just have some relatives and a couple of buddies who are from Chatham and we have competitive or combative high school football discussions.  :furious:

Panthers are hanging in there, probably not on the Titans level.

Actually, since that 2008 occurrence, Coach Rourke seems much less inclined to play 'chicken' with the refs and the score clock.  I don't really think the Cycs are u to their normal level for this last in the season.  This will also be the  first time all year that the Cyclones are at full strength.   They'll have to get it together tomorrow night to beat Chatham.   Sure I want them to beat Chatham, but what I really want to  see is them start playing at their full  potential on the threshold of the playoffs.

I'm thinking that Rourke got kicked out in 2005 playoff game. CYKS2591 would be a guy that should know. If I recall, he was the one who escorted him out.
Chatham will be a real challenge when they have the ball. Hammonds is a load runnng behind that good OLine of theirs. Helm is the best college prospect on either team. I think offensively we'll move the ball pretty well. If we can slow them down a little we'll be ok.

It was the 2005 playoff game. I played in that game. Sitting there in the lockerroom, I felt like we had been in there for too long, and I had no idea why we hadn't been told to take the field yet. The former O-Line coach Janke called a great game after Rourke was kicked out, and we had a chance to tie as the clock ran out.

Both offenses should be fine tonight, but I expect a couple of defensive stops from each team.

I am pretty excited about this game.  I won't be able to make the game because my daughter's school's Homecoming game is tonight, and she is on the HC court...I need to be there at halftime.  But, I'll be streaming, tracking, and yelling at the computer monitor!  I will also be tracking the Washington at Metamora game.  What a great weekend for HS football!

I really really want a win, but I am with OldFan in that hitting stride as the playoffs start is what I care most about.  Of course, if that happens this week, I think the win over Glenwood will also happen.

I BELIEVE...including tonight, SHG has only won 2 coin tosses this season.  Any guesses on the other game that SHG won the toss?  If you guessed the game v Cathedral, you would be correct.  Based on the result of that game, let's hope that the result of tonight's coin toss is not a bad omen.

SHG will receive the ball first.

in SHG news...Ryan Klatchko has decided to end his football career due to concussions.  Courageous call.  Hope his health continues to improve, and he can have a most productive adult life.  Good luck Ryan.
