4th & 1 Metamora goes for it and can't pick up the 1st down! SHG defense is too much for Metamora so far in this game.

I heard that they have a wooden sign that says something like "Play like it's your last game"
well maybe it will be!

What's the point of the IHSA Scorezone? They never have updated scores.  It would be better if people could submit scores but there is no option.

Metamora only came up 47 points shy of 'laying 50 on SHG'!(I believe I read that sowhere in a Metamora fan post) The radio announcer just said #1 took care of #2. Game over 19-6! SHG has a shot at a repeat next weekend in Champaign!!

Brenneisen was 9/15 for 159 yards and one INT

Sam Madonia was not there.  He got free tickes foor Notre dame/Army and went there instead.  Levin and Schweitzer did fine.

Wonder how many of the Metamorean posters will come back?  To their credit, most of their fans stayed to the end, even if the trickle out the gate turned to a freshet at mid-fourth quarter.

at the game tonight, and let me tell you, it was well worth the trip, just to turn around and come back to wisconsin.

a couple of thoughts...

my hats off to the two way lineman who went down mid 3rd qurter.  went off for a series or two, had the anke taped, and came back out.  true warrior.

nice play by rob mosher on the punt coverage.  he gets blocked in the back and taken out of the play.  the returner, after running away from mosher, reverses field, only to find that rob hasn't given up on the play, and then gets de-cleated by #2.  way to stick w/ the play!

of course congrats to the team on a finely played game, that should go w/o saying.

what's with the no flags on activity after the whistle?  i think i saw our #6 (sorry i dont see them live enough to put names w/ numbers) get thrown to the ground on three different occassions right in front of a ref w/ no call.  i saw this same player running a pattern down the near sideline, only to be held by the back of his jersey, above the numbers for about 20 yards.  again, right in front of the zebra, no flag.  after last weeks nonsense and some of the garbage that was going on this week, i had no problem w/ rob mosher going after that kid after the fake punt/interception.  on the next punt, that same metamora player took mosher to the ground.  no flag!  is that the ihsa's new ploy against private schools?  don't call penalties on the teams they're playing?  i thought the officiating was MISERABLE, but the cyclones did what they do...WIN!

glad gas prices are down, i'll be in chambana next weekend & looking forward to it!
