End of 1st qtr.  13-7 SHG, but now Rochester has wind.  SHG D line is getting beat regularly.  And the tacklong is sloppy.

With this defense, we do NOT have a state champion quality team.  Rochester about to score again

we'll get wind in 4th, have to keep scoring

They look good for 4A.  We don't look so hot for 6A

That it did. Another 9-0 season!

On the topic of the SHG defense...1) Rochester has some serious weapons. We're those the cause of tonight's defensive struggles? 2) With an offense like that, who needs defense?

I think you're severely under rating Rochester's offense. They have definitely one, and possibly 3 D1 wide receivers with a 6-4/5 QB...along with arguably the best offensive mind in the State coaching them. Our DB's made some phenomenal plays tonight to breakup what are likely TD's for Rochester on another night. The Rockets may running clock their way to Dekalb. You're going to be hard pressed to find a 4A team with the athletes on defense to slow down those receivers like we were able to.

The SHG defense did not tackle well tonight. Way too much arm tackling. The Rochester back is very shifty but he only weighs 170. You would have thought that he was a 200 lb. back given the number tackles he broke tonight.

Credit their O line.  They clearly outplayed our D line, although the reverse was also true.  Our O line was everything we expected.

I wouldn't bet against Rochester winning 4A again. In 4A they won't likely face an O Line that can handle them like they were handled tonight either.
