Any chance someone will be posting updates throughout? Couldn't find a stream anywhere.

The video stream will be on NFHS.  SportsRadio1450 will be streaming audio.

Thanks Old Fan, although I searched NFHS and didn't find our game on the schedule. I'll look again.

This thing was 28-24 with SHG in the lead at the half. We're still in the 3rd and SHG leads 54-24. Completely different defense in the 2nd half for the Cyclones.

I couldn't attend, but listened. That's the most enthusiastic I'd heard Tim Schweitzer in a while, until we took the lead back from PND late in the half.

LOL, I can believe that.
PND is just a very good Wing T team. They really took it to our D in the first half. Halftime adjustments were made and they only had one score against the starters in the 2nd half.

Very good game considering we were playing 11 on 16.  We were flat out robbed on one bad interception call, lost an onside kick PND touched after only 8 yards and several other calls that absolutely blew.

Crete-Monee leading Lemont 23-7 after 3.  Crete's stadium seating looks on a par with Rochester or Jax.

Looks like Lemont lost Nagle, their star QB, early.  Pretty pathetic without him.

Get there early, take over the home stands.

I assumed we'd make D adjustments, we're real good at that, and we did. Glad to hear it, as the broadcast suggested that we simply wore them down due to so many PND players going both ways. What'd we drop 21 on them in the third? That's a lot of quick wearing down. That was the storyline offered.

Final crete 23-7.  Road game next week.  Meanwhile LWN beat Richards 17-10 and will go to Hinsdale South next week.

Crete-Monee had 19 penalties including 5 pass interference.  Corners are short and slow. I feel pretty good about this one.

Didn't hear any commentary from Coach Leonard after the game. Did he have anything to say about their all-onside kick strategy?

Didn't hear anything. Maybe they learned this from Peoria, they do the same thing. Champaign Central also does the same.

Maybe their regular kicker played in state soccer tournament?

Before the game, he hinted that he was expecting something of the sort.  Certainly the boys were ready for it.  The one they got was a blown call, their kid hit it first before it went ten yards.  These officials were the worst I've seen in several years.

It seems that a lot of the Big 12 teams do a lot of onside kicks. Maybe they feel that they don't cover kicks all that well so they might as well try. Our special teams coach was fully aware of their tendency to do this.
