All....St. Laurence isn't the biggest team SHG will have played but nonetheless one of the most dangerous. Out of the CCL White they have numerous quality wins on their schedule.

Led by senior RB Fayezon Smart who last year rushed for 2054 yards and 21td's and is tearing it up again this season. He can do it all. Runs, catches, kick off returns. At 5'6" 160lbs he is fast 4.5 speed in the 40. Looking at many of his highlight clips runs quite a bit like B.B. The Vikings return nine starters on offense from last season. Should be a great game to watch. :gocycs: Ratsy

St Laurence has beaten such teams as Benet Academy, St Rita, Richards, Crete and Lemont. Those are some pretty decent wins.
The question now is, will they add SHG to their list of wins this year? I've never been into predicting scores but I like how thisCyclone team is playing. I've seen improvement since Round 1 of the playoffs. That's what you have to have if you want to get to the State Finals. I think the Cycs win Saturday.

Lemont's strength all year was their rushing game and StL mostly took it away. I watched that game on patch.com, however, and I don't see any similarities between our rushing attack and Lemont's. This will be a challenge for us. I think the Vikings will find it a challenge as well.

All..... The Vikings look to be a well oiled machine. Coach Blackmon is in his fifth year having made the semi-final in 2015 and once again this year. Ratsy

Based on forecast look like special teams might be a big factor with the win. Punting and PAT could be critical

We need to be secure with the football and like you said, when fielding punts in the wind you need to be careful. If you're not sure you can field it don't touch it. Putting the ball on the ground is what cost this team dearly last year against Crete. Let's hope we can play a clean game Saturday.
