All.... Some info on Chicago Hubbard. The Greyhounds out of the CPL Illini (Prairie State) Conference with an enrollment of 1756.00. PF 269 PA 190. Coached by Elton Harris with a 22 year record of 193 and 78. Last years record 8-4.   Not positive but believe that record reflects playing in the (allowed) additional postseason tournament. The Prep Bowl?

I think this is the team SHG opens up against. We will see. Ratsy

All... This afternoons Community West/PND game is a big one. Normal is favored but should PND upset them Crete Monee would become the #1 seed and be in the upper group of the eight in the southern bracket. West would drop into that bottem group of eight and open up against Springfield. Ratsy

All.... And the seeding craziness continues. Steve Soucie sees the southern bracket different. I like his guess better by the way. Ratsy

All.... More intrigue. Normal (Community West) was upset by PND today 31-28. That changes things. With Nazareth now looking to be definitely in 6A they are being projected a #2 seed in the "southern" bracket. Of course the IHSA can do what they want in terms of positioning.  Anyway here is the latest scenario for the south. Ratsy

#16 Hindsdale South (5-4)  @ #1 Crete Monee (8-1)

#9 Quincy (6-3) @ #8 Burbank (St. Laurence) (6-3)

#13 Providence (5-4) @ #4 Richards (7-2)

All... One would think the drive from CHi town would mean a Saturday game. But who knows.... Both teams have to agree to play on Friday. If not Saturday it is. The weather at the moment Friday the high of 52 with a 40% chance of rain. Saturday the high of 47 with a 10% chance of rain. Ratsy

Football weather. I'd take a couple Friday night games, but Saturday is a real possibility for Hubbard.

The weather has changed. Friday rain.  For Saturday rain and snow showers in the morning turning to all rain in the afternoon. Well after nine weeks of near perfect weather it's about time mother nature said not so fast.... Ratsy

All.... Chatham made out quite well. Normally 6A (the last three seasons ) the Titans dropped into 5A as the second largest team. They open up against Mahomet-Seymour out of the Apollo Conference. The Bulldogs are the fifth smallest team (excluding Phillips who petitioned to play up) of the 32 teams in the 5A bracket. As Sammy says they are dancing in the aisles in Chatham.... Ratsy
